Abstract: Among the common Arabic verbs that found place in the Arabic poetry, the holy Qur’ān and the Ḥadīth is ‘Kharaja’. It originally means to go out either temporarily or permanently, willingly of unwillingly.It is intransitive but its quadrilateral comes as intransitive and transitive the both. The intransitive is applied with seven prepositions i.e. ilá, bā, ‘alá, ‘an, fī, lām and min while the second object of its quadrilateral is applied with five prepositions i.e. ilá, bā, ‘an, lām and min. It is interesting that its quadrilateral also comes intransitive being applied with two prepositrions bā and ‘an. The details of these prepositions and their meanings will be discussed in the article.

وهو يأتي لازمًا يتعدّى بسبعة أحرف جرّ وهي إلى والباء وعلى وعن وفي واللام ومن بينما يأتي الإفعال منه لازمًا ومتعدّيًا بنفسه. فاللازم منه يتعدّى بحرفي جر هما الباء وعن بينما تدخل على المفعول الثاني للإفعال منه خمسة أحرف جرّ وهي إلى والباء وعن واللام ومن
