Abstract: Since its revelation the Qur’ān challenged the opponents to bring a copy similar to it, and when they were failed to bring so, the Qur’ān gave another challenge, e.i. to bring ten chapters in Arabic like the Qur’ān’s. And when they could not bring the same, the Qur’ān asked them to bring only one chapter like its. Thus the Qur’ān proved to them that it is a heavenly book.
The Qur’ān is revealed in the most excellent Arabic used in that period and understood by the Arabs of that time. Apart from its contents its language also captured attention of the Arabs, whose stories have been narrated in books related to Qur’ānic Studies.
When we look into its language, we find that the Qur’ān always uses selected words and styles even it is selective in using the prepositions and letters of conjunction.
The following article is a humble effort to study the preposition ‘bā’ applied to the verb ‘idha’ah’ in the chapter of al-Nisā’ (verse no. 83).
The author will be much obliged if any suggession or comment is received on this effort.
